ST. TAMMANY PARISH GOVERNMENT
NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY AND PUBLIC HEARINGS
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Annual Action Plan PY 2009
St. Tammany Parish will hold a Public Hearing regarding the 2009 Annual Action Plan at 4:00 pm on July 30, 2009 in the Council Chambers at the Koop Road Complex 21490 Koop Drive, Mandeville, LA.
The purpose of the meeting is to notify the public of intended activities to be undertaken using HUD’s Community Development Block Grant. The Parish is currently accepting Public Comments for the 2009 Annual Action Plan. The following items are included in the Action Plan and will be discussed at the hearing:
A. The amount of funds available for proposed community development and housing activities for PY 2009: $1,098,069
B. The range of activities available that may be undertaken, including the estimated amount of funds proposed to be used for activities that will benefit persons of low and moderate incomes: All program funds will be spent on projects/programs that benefit low and moderate income persons.
C. The plans of the Parish for minimizing displaced persons as a result of activities assisted with such funds and the benefits to be provided by the Parish to persons actually displaced as a result of such activities: Anti-displacement Plan available on Parish website.
D. The Parish’s CDBG Citizen Participation Plan: available on Parish website.

St. Tammany Parish Hospital Offering Swine Flu Vaccine
St. Tammany Parish Hospital announced that it is offering swine flu vaccinations through its Community Wellness Center, St. Tammany Physicians Network offices, and Family Medical Center. The vaccinations will be given out only to those who meet certain guidelines.
Groups eligible for vaccinations are:
Pregnant women who have a note from their obstetrician
Those who live with or care for children younger than 6 months of age
Health care and emergency medical service providers
Those from 6 months of age to 24 years old
People ages 25 to 64 who are at higher risk for flu complications because of chronic health disorders or compromised immune systems
Vaccinations are available at the following locations:
St. Tammany Parish Hospital’s Community Wellness Center, 1505 N. Florida Street, in Covington (985) 871-6030
Mondays 8:00 am – 10:30 am
Wednesdays 8:00 am – 10:30 am, 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm
Fridays 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm
Vaccinations are still available to eligible groups, by appointment, who are established patients at the following locations:
